DOUGLAS, Ga. (WALB) — Douglas officials said they are investigating a shots fired incident that occurred Wednesday, June 3, near Unit Park after an individual came to the hospital with apparent gunshot-related injuries.

According to the police department, witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots Wednesday. Witnesses said they saw several people fleeing from the scene, Douglas Police said.

No further information was released by the police department.

“Even the smallest piece of information could be valuable to investigators and help move this case forward.”
