QUITMAN, Ga. (WALB) — A driver was taken into custody following a vehicle pursuit in Quitman, according to the Brooks County Sheriff’s Office.
Brooks County Sheriff’s Office deputies assisted the Quitman Police Department after an attempted traffic stop within the city, according to the sheriff’s office.
During the incident, the driver failed to stop for law enforcement and continued through several streets on the northeast side of the city, the sheriff’s office said. Brooks County deputies responded to the area and assisted with bringing the incident to a safe conclusion, according to the sheriff’s office.
The driver, identified as Thomas Gosier of Quitman, lost control of the vehicle near a business on Highland Avenue and was taken into custody moments later, the sheriff’s office said.
No injuries were reported. A Brooks County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle sustained minor damage during the incident, according to the sheriff’s office.
