CRISP COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - An early morning, single-vehicle crash in Crisp County claimed the life of a passenger and left a driver seriously injured on Tuesday, June 2, according to the Georgia State Patrol (GSP).
According to the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), emergency responders were dispatched to a crash on Interstate 75 near mile marker 98 around 7 a.m., Tuesday.
Local officials said initial reports indicate that the vehicle left the roadway, became airborne, struck a billboard and overturned.

The passenger, later identified as 38-year-old Latoria Branch, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a nearby medical facility for treatment, CCSO said.
Branch died from her injuries, GSP confirmed. She was from Ellenwood, just outside of Atlanta.
The driver, also from Ellenwood, was life flighted to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, GSP said.
This remains a developing story, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
