(WGXA) — Election season is upon us, Middle Georgia!

Early voting begins on Tuesday, and cities and municipalities across the region are gearing up for a variety of mayoral races, as well as other local government elections and some statewide ballots.

Across the state, Georgians will decide on two new Public Service Commissioners:

Public Service Commission, District 2:

  • Tim Echols (R) (Incumbent)
  • Alicia M. Johnson (D)

Public Service Commission, District 3:

  • Fitz Johnson (R) (Incumbent)
  • Peter Hubbard (D)

Check out the local races you can keep an eye on as Election Day inches closer:

BIBB COUNTY

Voters will decide whether or not to continue the SPLOST penny tax that goes to help fund the Bibb County School District, but there are no local races in Bibb County.

HOUSTON COUNTY

In Warner Robins, Mayor LaRhonda Patrick is challenged by Fabian Velazquez, and city council races for Post 1 (At-Large), Post 3 and Post 5 are all running uncontested.

Over in Perry, Mayor Randall Walker is challenged by Christopher Smith and there are two city council races to watch:

District 1, Post 1

  • Phyllis Bynum-Grace (Incumbent)
  • Amy Fouse

District 3, Post 1

  • Darryl Albritton (Incumbent)
  • Eugene Triplet II

The Post 3 Councilmember seat in Centerville was left open after the resignation of J. Michael Evans. Here's who is running to replace him:

  • Logan Cowperthwaite
  • Velicia "Lisa" Lowe
  • Timothy L. McEady
  • Scott E. Rorle
  • Larry P. Word, Jr.

The races for Centerville mayor, Post 1 Councilmember and Post 2 Councilmember are all running uncontested.

Houston County voters will also decide on the continuation of the E-SPLOST penny tax to help fund education matters in the area.

MONROE COUNTY

The city of Forsyth will hold elections for three city council seats, but one of them is running uncontested.

City Council, Post 2:

  • Chris Hewett (Incumbent)
  • Walter "Skipper" Goodson

City Council, Post 6

  • Mike Dodd (Incumbent)
  • Glynn Holmes, Sr.

County residents will also decide on a referendum to help fund the Monroe County School District.

PEACH COUNTY

Fort Valley has a mayor's race and two city council elections this November:

Fort Valley Mayor

  • Jeffery Lundy (Incumbent)
  • Anthony Clark
  • Andrew Young Kim
  • Shakeena B. Reeves

City Council At-Large

  • Talisha Carter-Moody
  • Ralph L. Davis II.
  • Alton Howard

City Council, West Ward

  • Marcus Alexander Agostino
  • Donald Williams

Peach County residents will also decide on the Floating Local Option Sales Tax (FLOST) to provide property tax relief, along with a countywide homestead exemption referendum.

TWIGGS COUNTY

The city of Danville will hold races for mayor and an open seat on the city council. See who's running below:

Danville Mayor:

  • Tracy Jackson (Incumbent)
  • Jimmy Smith

There are three open seats on the Danville City Council, and with only three candidates on the ballot, each will surely secure the election.

BALDWIN COUNTY

Up in Milledgeville, voters will choose a new mayor and councilmembers for Districts 1 through 6. Districts 1, 3, 4 and 5 are all running uncontested.

Milledgeville Mayor:

  • Mary Parham-Copeland (Incumbent)
  • Walter Reynolds

  • Arlene Simmons
  • Brooks A. Snider
  • Shidonna Solomon

City Council District 6:

  • Kayla Brownlow
  • Jeffery C. Wells

CRAWFORD COUNTY

The city of Roberta will hold a mayoral race and two city council races, but all three are running uncontested.
