ECHOLS COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) — The Echols County Sheriff’s Office is asking the community to support one of its deputies following his cancer diagnosis.

According to the sheriff’s office, Deputy Jasen Brouillette has been a member of the Echols County Sheriff’s Office since 2022. The sheriff’s office said Brouillette is a veteran, a husband and a father of four.

Brouillette was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer, according to the sheriff’s office.

A GoFundMe was created to help Brouillette and his family with medical expenses, travel for treatment, and his time away from work, according to the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office is asking the community to join them in standing behind Brouillette and his family.
