LEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - Two people were arrested after a drug bust in Lee County on Wednesday, May 21.

Deputies with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) SWAT Team, Narcotics Division, Special Victims Unit, and Uniform Patrol Division assisted the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in serving a federal search warrant and federal arrest warrant for Luis Jose Vanga at a residence in the 100 block of White Pine Lane.

According to the sheriff’s office, he had an outstanding federal arrest warrant related to the distribution of methamphetamine. He was taken into custody and later released to the DEA for federal processing.

During the search, LCSO’s narcotics division found:

• Methamphetamine
• Packaging materials
• Digital scales
• A 9mm semi-automatic handgun
• Ammunition
• Marijuana
• Smoking devices

This operation also led to Brittany Amber Sizemore’s arrest. Sizemore was arrested on state and local charges, including possession of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

At the time, Sizemore was already out on bond for similar charges from two arrests in 2023, according to LCSO.

She was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Lee County Jail.

Vanga will face the same state and local charges upon completion of his federal proceedings.
