Description
WEDNESDAY PM FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY 11am-10pm: It continues to be very oppressive across the area. The humidity is sending the heat index (Feels Like) numbers above 105 by midday and near 110-115 for the rest of the afternoon.
Spotty thunderstorms move north to south afternoon to evening as a boundary approaches but not everyone is expected to see it. Activity will begin to pop off within the hour and continue into this evening. There’s a Slight/Marginal Risk that the storms will produce damaging wind gusts, dangerous lightning and heavy downpours.
TOMORROW: Drier weather returns with a letdown in the intense heat and humidity. Temperatures will gradually drop back near average.
FRIDAY: Seasonable heat with low rain chances continues.
WEEKEND-EARLY WEEK: A very unsettled weather pattern takes over. A low-pressure system digs south and pulls a ton of Gulf Moisture across South Georgia. High rain chances and cooler temperatures are expected with the threat of some flooding.
