COFFEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - Four people have been arrested after investigators seized nearly 100 grams of narcotics during a drug investigation in Coffee County.
According to the Douglas-Coffee Drug Unit, the investigation began on June 15 with the arrest of Michael “Shy” Spearman. He is charged with trafficking methamphetamine and trafficking fentanyl.

Investigators said information gathered during that arrest led to the arrest of Rhonda Nipper, who is charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of fentanyl.
Authorities said the investigation continued, leading to two additional arrests. Megan Hersey was charged with trafficking fentanyl, while Frances Amanda Thrift was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of fentanyl, and conspiracy to commit trafficking fentanyl.
In total, investigators said they seized nearly 100 grams of narcotics during the investigation.
The investigation remains ongoing.
