AMERICUS, Ga. (WALB) - Two Americus residents were arrested after law enforcement executed a search warrant at a home on South Jackson Street.

According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Jessica Reynolds, 37, and Rankin Ruff, 42, were arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

The search was conducted Sept. 17 as part of an illegal narcotics investigation.

Investigators seized approximately 695.8 grams of suspected cocaine, 17.7 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 28 grams of suspected methamphetamine, four firearms, and more than $27,000.

Reynolds and Ruff were booked into the Sumter County Jail.

The GBI said the investigation remains ongoing. Once complete, the case file will be sent to the Southwestern Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for review.

The operation involved the GBI, Americus Police Department, Sumter County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia State Patrol, among other agencies.

WALB is working to obtain the mugshots for the two individuals arrested in this incident.
