MILLER COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has launched an investigation into a reported sex offense involving a 15-year-old Miller County High School student.

The investigation was requested by the Miller County Sheriff’s Office on Monday, May 19, at around 11:15 a.m. According to the release from GBI, interviews were conducted with the victim and witnesses, which led to the identification and interrogation of two adult male suspects.

As a result, the following individuals were arrested and charged:

Suspect 1: Quantavious Mennette, 25, of Colquitt, has been charged with:

• Grooming
• Child Molestation
• Computer or Electronic Pornography and Child Exploitation
• Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes

Suspect 2: Quinterious King, 23, of Colquitt, has been charged with:

• Grooming
• Child Molestation
• Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes
• Sexual Battery

Both suspects have been taken into custody. Once the investigation is complete, the case will be forwarded to the Pataula Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
