ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) —It may be hot across Southwest Georgia, but a statewide conservation group says one of the coolest ways to beat the heat is on the Flint River.

Georgia Rivers is rolling out a series of guided paddle and kayak-fishing trips on the Flint River, including stretches close to Albany, along with multi‑day “camp and paddle” adventures later this year.

“When it comes to summertime in Georgia, there’s not much better than dipping your toes — or your whole body — in a Georgia river."
