AMERICUS, Ga. (WALB) - Georgia State Patrol troopers were patrolling eastbound on Lamar Street on Saturday, March 14, when a traffic stop attempt led to a vehicle pursuit, according to GSP.

A trooper attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 2015 Ford F-150. The driver failed to stop, and a pursuit was initiated.

The driver turned onto Lonnie Lane and continued southbound. The trooper performed a PIT maneuver, bringing the pursuit to an end.

The driver was taken into custody and charged with several traffic offenses, including fleeing, attempting to elude and DUI.
