DAWSON, Ga. (WALB) — A 17-year-old girl was reported missing from Dawson, the Dawson Police Department (DPD) reported Jan. 22. Police say the girl is believed to have been trying to get a ride to Atlanta.
Alanna Harvey, 17, was last seen on the afternoon of Wednesday, Jan. 21, walking south on Center Street, DPD said.
Harvey’s guardian told police that Harvey has mood disorders and depression, according to a flyer released by the police department.

Officials say Harvey is a Black female with light complexion. She stands at about 5 feet tall and weighs about 115 pounds, DPD said.
Police say Harvey has curly, shoulder-length hair with black braids.
Anyone with information about Harvey’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Dawson Police Department at 229-995-4414. According to the flyer, DPD’s Lieutenant Stultz is the case officer.
If there is immediate danger, police say to call 911.
