ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The H.E.A.R.T Organization, also known as Hands Extended Across Reaching Together, honored Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with its annual commemorative breakfast for the 46^th year in a row.

This year’s celebration was sponsored by Albany’s Proctor and Gamble and was held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

H.E.A.R.T presented our very own Karla Heath-Sands with this year’s community impact award, which recognizes Dr. King’s legacy.

Meadows Funeral Home was also presented with the community impact award.

Many community members and leaders also attended this event.
