FRI/SAT: Muggy start in the morning with mid 70s as more humid air enters in along with the heat. Afternoon highs will be in the mid 90s. Heat indexes expected to surpass the century mark and can approach near 105° in isolated spots. On Friday, there is another slight chance of a shower or two to provide a very brief cooling. Saturday provides a better chance for afternoon showers and storms.
SUNDAY: Another muggy and warm start. Afternoon highs rise again in the low 90s. There will be a more plentiful chance for showers and storms. Some storms can be strong.
EARLY NEXT WEEK: Heat stretch comes to an end and rain chances ramp up due to the one-two punch of tropical moisture colliding with a cold front from the north. Afternoon highs will dip back below average in the 80s.
