SAN ANTONIO - Jonathan Joss Gonzales, known for his voice-acting work on popular shows "King of the Hill" and "Parks and Recreation," was killed in a shooting on the South Side of San Antonio on Sunday.

The shooting happened just after 7:00 p.m. in the 200 block of Dorsey Street, on the city's South Side.

According to the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD), officers were called for a shooting at the location, and when they arrived, they found a male victim near the roadway. SAPD identified the victim as Jonathan Joss.

Officers attempted life-saving measures however, Joss was pronounced deceased by EMS. Police detained a suspect, 56-year-old Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja, who has since been booked for murder.

At this time, law enforcement believes that the shooting stems from a dispute between the two neighbors.

Joss played John Redcorn on "King of the Hill" from seasons 2 through 13. A new revival of the hit show is set to hit Hulu in August. He also played Ken Hotoate in "Parks and Recreation."

Multiple calls have been made to Joss and Ceja's addresses. Two calls for shots fired were reported at Joss' residence in May of 2024, as well as a call for a disturbance with a neighbor on New Year's Eve of 2024. A call for shots fired and a disturbance with a neighbor were reported on Sunday, June 1, 2025.

Ceja's address revealed 50 calls in the last 16 months for disturbance with a neighbor, loud noise disturbances, and mental health-related calls. There are also reported calls for assault, criminal mischief, and threats.
