LEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is increasing patrols this weekend, with a focus on commercial and retail areas, according to the agency.

Deputies will conduct proactive patrols and enforcement in the area, the sheriff’s office said.

Areas of enforcement

The sheriff’s office said deputies will pay close attention to the following issues:

• Disorderly conduct
• Public intoxication
• Pedestrians in the roadway
• Loitering
• Littering
• Parking violations, including handicap spaces and fire lanes
• Other nuisance-related issues

The sheriff’s office said deputies encourage everyone to enjoy their time in Lee County, support local businesses, and respect the laws.
