CRISP COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - A Macon man faces a felony charge after a crash on I-75. Crisp County Investigators said they recovered two firearms near the crash, including one ghost gun.

18-year-old Dan Cleveland was involved in a single vehicle crash in the north bound lane of I-75 in Crisp County on Tuesday. Responding Sheriff Deputies located a stolen handgun, two magazines, and a ghost gun near the crash site near mile marker 104.

Cleveland faces the felony charge of Theft by Receiving Stolen Property.

The handgun was stolen from Florida according to investigators. The second firearm was a ghost gun. Ghost guns are made using parts without serial numbers, making them hard to track.

Ghost guns are also referred to as privately made firearms (PMFs) by the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF). In Georgia, there are no laws banning these firearms. However, there are federal laws regulating PMFs. Click here to read more on PMFs.
