MACON, Ga. (WGXA) — A man was hit and killed by a train in Macon.

According to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones, 40-year-old Jeffery Rainey was hit by the train along the tracks near Arkwright Road at around 4:30 a.m. Monday.
Coroner Jones said Rainey was unhoused and pronounced dead around an hour later.
Authorities notified Rainey's family in Jones County following the incident.
