ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — Details about a memorial service for a Lee County assistant principal were released Tuesday, March 3.

Dr. Taylar N. Williams died on Feb. 28 at 32 years old. She was the assistant principal at Lee County Primary School.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, March 7, at 2 p.m., with a viewing scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday’s services will be held at Sherwood Baptist Church, located at 2201 Whispering Pines Road.

“We invite family, friends, students, and the community to join in honoring the life of Dr. Taylar N. Williams, a remarkable leader, educator, and source of light in so many lives,” Dr. Williams’ husband, George Williams wrote.

An additional viewing will be held Friday, March 6, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Meadows Funeral Home of Albany, Inc., according to George Williams.

George Williams asked that the community come to a viewing on March 6 to “share memories, offer condolences and support one another in love and remembrance.”

The funeral home is located at 315 South Madison Street in Albany.
