Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Today is the second day in a row where Albany has set a new high temperature record. We hit a high of 82 degrees, beating the old record of 81 set back in 2010. Tonight we will dip down into the low 50s before quickly resuming back near record high temperatures, in the low 80s, tomorrow.
A partly cloudy and record hot day is forecasted Tuesday. Rain chances increase Tuesday night and early Wednesday ahead of a cold front. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely, a few have the possibility to be severe, but chances are low (5%). Rain moves out of SGA Wednesday night, and we will be clear and much cooler on Thanksgiving. Cold temperatures and mostly sunny skies end the week with highs in the 60s and overnight lows near freezing.
