Description
MOULTRIE, Ga. (WALB) - Downtown Moultrie was filled with excitement Saturday as Colquitt County native and cookbook author Ivy Odom returned home on tour for her debut cookbook, My Southern Kitchen.
Odom, who has gained more than 80,000 followers on Instagram for her Southern-inspired cooking videos, greeted a steady stream of fans and friends at the signing.
“It has been so special,” Odom said. “There have been so many people who have come to show their outpouring of love and support, and it’s just such an honor to be from Colquitt County and Moultrie.”
Odom, now a well-known food personality, said she always dreamed of writing a cookbook but never imagined her passion for cooking would lead to her dream job.
Her aunt, Brenda Griner, said she couldn’t be prouder of Odom’s success.
My Southern Kitchen has already sold more than 15,000 copies, with upcoming stops on the tour in Homewood, Alabama, and Dallas, Texas.
