MOULTRIE, Ga. (WALB) - According to the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office, Cpl. Abbie Tucker was the deputy injured in the crash on Tuesday, March 3.

Officials say in a press release that Tucker is currently under sedation and on a ventilator.

“She does have more than one hemorrhage in her brain, but medical staff do not see the need for surgery at this time.”
Tucker’s neurologist checked on her this morning, Wednesday, March 4, and she was responsive to his cues and requests, the release said.
“When the doctor asked if she was a fighter, Cpl. Tucker gave a thumbs up even under sedation.”
According to the press release, she is still listed in serious condition; however, officials say that they are “very optimistic at this point.”
