ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - On Wednesday Dec. 17, Sadarius Lewis was found in the trunk of a white Hyundai Tucson in the alleyway east of the 2700 block of Joshua Street, officials confirmed.

Officials said the registered owner of the car is Latasha Burrison, who says that the last person to drive the vehicle was Lewis. She said the last time she was in contact with Lewis was on Monday, Dec. 15, at around 6 p.m., when he sent her $40 via Chime.

Burrison also told officials that Lewis was previously her fiancé but stated that he “is nothing to her anymore” after learning information about his “secret life.”

Officials asked her to clarify, and Burrison advised that they would need to speak with Lewis’ cousin.

Officials spoke with the cousin, and he stated that Lewis was involved with scamming activities and that he told people he would reduce their bills by half and used other common scam tactics. He also stated that Lewis attempted to scam multiple family members and crossed multiple people to the point where he created an obituary for himself and posted it online so people would believe he was deceased.

The cousin further advised that Lewis had multiple girlfriends and fiancées. Lewis had reportedly been dating Burrison for around 5 years while also being in a relationship with another woman for 4 years. He and the second woman share a 1-year-old child.

Officials also stated that the cousin told them about a third woman, who was also Lewis’ girlfriend. Lewis’ cousin said he did not know much about the third woman other than the fact that he had seen a video of her pointing a gun at Lewis’ head on Lewis’ phone.
