COLQUITT COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) — Colquitt Regional Health System opened a brand new urgent care facility on Monday, Aug. 3.

The new care facility is located across the street from Colquitt Regional Medical Center at 207 31st Ave SE.

Colquitt Regional Urgent Care treats walk-in patients Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The urgent care was designed for patients throughout their everyday routines. When someone can’t make it to the hospital or emergency room due to time constraints, urgent care is another option.

“The urgent care trajectory is designed to help patients throughout their day-to-day. Injuries occur during the day, in the middle of the day, in the evenings,” said Eddie Jefferson, Clinical Coordinator at the facility. “All people can’t get to the emergency room or can’t get into their primary doctor. So, the urgent care was designed to help those needs out for extended hours.”

Since opening last week, Jefferson and his team have seen an increase in patients.
