BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WALB) – Bainbridge Public Safety and the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) captured an alligator found at a residence.
Bainbridge Public Safety Chief Investigator Mark Esquivel told WALB they responded Monday afternoon to a residence near College Road and the intersection of Shotwell Street.
The chief, along with local DNR officers Tony Cox and Officer May, wrangled the alligator. He noted that situations like this happen more often than people think. ‘We once found a ten-footer,’ he said.

WALB asked what should people do if they have unwanted wildlife invading their space? “Stay away. Don’t try to take matters into your own hands. Please don’t approach it — call 911 or animal control.” he said.
