PELHAM, Ga. (WALB) — The Pelham Police Department (PPD) confirmed it is investigating what officials described as an “attempted child abduction.”

The department said the attempt occurred on Sunday, July 26, in the afternoon. PPD asked the public to contact officials if they were at the Dollar General in Pelham from 3:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Police said they would not release any further information at this time as it may affect their ongoing investigation.

No identifying details, such as age or gender, have been released about the child or any suspects.
