Description
TIFTON, Ga. (WALB) — The Georgia Historical Society will award and unveil a historical marker to Frank and Solomon Nixon Funeral Home, marking the first such honor in Tifton and Tift County.
Funeral director Solomon Nixon Jr. and Attorney Sharon P. Nixon will appear on this week’s Dialogue to discuss the recognition. The business marked 100 years of operation last year.

The funeral home has played a role in improving the lives of African Americans throughout South Tifton and Southwest Georgia, according to the Nixons.
Dialogue will also feature Commissioner Anthony Jones and Tee Taylor discussing Albany-Dougherty County’s Juneteenth Freedom Day celebration.
