MITCHELL COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - One person is dead following an early morning single-vehicle crash in Mitchell County on Saturday.

Deputy Coroner Jamey Thompson said he received a call at 6:42 a.m. March 7 reporting a male deceased inside a vehicle on Mt. Zion Road.

Crews responded to the scene and discovered a single-vehicle crash. Thompson identified the victim as Kyree Kadeem Williams, 36, of Camilla.

According to Thompson, Williams was traveling west on Mt. Zion Road when he ran off the road while attempting to navigate a curve. Williams entered a ditch, struck a tree, and died on impact.

Georgia State Patrol is handling the investigation. This story will be updated when the incident report is released.
