THOMAS COUNTY, Ga. (WCTV) - A two-vehicle crash left one man dead in Thomas County on Monday morning, according to the Thomas County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Tim Watkins said the crash happened around 8:30 a.m. at US 84 and Cairo Road.

A driver failed to stop at an intersection, just before hitting another vehicle.

The driver who failed to stop died as a result of the crash. Watkins identified the driver as a man in his 40s.

The condition of the other vehicle’s driver was not immediately known.

Watkins said the road was closed following the crash.
