ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — A shooting transpired around 12 a.m. this morning in the 2600 block of Cody Court, according to the Albany Police Department (APD).

Officials say that once they arrived at the scene, they located a 50-year-old woman who had been shot. APD says she was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and is in stable condition.

Multiple people were inside the home at the time of the shooting, but no other injuries were reported.

A home near where the incident occurred was hit with bullets, but officials say the two people in the home were not injured.

This incident remains ongoing.
