TIFT COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) – The Tift County Sheriff’s Office says an argument led to a shooting that left one person injured Thursday night.

Deputies responded to the 3100 block of Southern Ave. around 8:20 p.m. When they arrived, they found a victim who had been shot with a handgun. The Sheriff’s Office confirmed the victim survived the incident.

According to the incident report, the suspected shooter is an acquaintance of the victim. However, investigators are not releasing the identities of either individual at this time.

Deputies say the case remains active and ongoing.
