VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) — The Valdosta Fire Department is responding to a house fire that happened overnight near North Lee Street.

According to the fire department, the entire block around North Lee Street will remain shut down for the next several hours as crews work to contain the situation.

At this time, it is unclear whether anyone was inside the home when the fire started or whether anyone was injured.

SGMC Health EMS was also on scene to assist.

The area will remain closed until officials determine it is safe.
