(Gray News) — Patrick Clancy is giving his first public interview since the murder case against his ex-wife, Lindsay Clancy, ended in a mistrial.
Patrick Clancy will appear on “60 Minutes” this Sunday.
In a teaser video, CBS said Patrick Clancy “talks about his grief, his memories of his children, and the baseless conspiracy theories that flooded social media since his ex-wife’s murder trial.”
Many online theories accused Patrick Clancy of wrongdoing in the case, though officials have said he was not responsible for any part of his children’s deaths.
Earlier this month, a Massachusetts judge declared a mistrial in the murder case against his ex-wife, Lindsay Clancy, after she killed her three young children in 2023.
Jurors could not agree on whether she was criminally responsible and acted deliberately or whether postpartum psychosis was at play.
Prosecutors argued that Lindsay Clancy acted deliberately and understood her actions, while her lawyers said postpartum psychosis left her unable to control her behavior or appreciate its wrongfulness.
The mistrial leaves the case unresolved and allows prosecutors to try Lindsay Clancy again. She had faced life in prison without parole if convicted of first-degree murder.
The closely watched case drew national attention to maternal mental health care and gaps in treatment.
Patrick Clancy’s interview with “60 Minutes” airs on CBS Sunday at 7 p.m. ET.
