ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The Albany Police Department (APD) is investigating after a 17-year-old male was shot multiple times early Tuesday morning.
According to APD, officers responded to the 2400 block of Brierwood Drive around 12:30 a.m. after reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found the teen suffering from gunshot wounds.
The teen was taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital to be treated for his injuries. According to APD, the victim is currently in stable condition.
Authorities have not released the victim’s identity.
Investigators are working to determine if this shooting is connected to another incident reported earlier in the area. No arrests have been made as of Tuesday morning, and no suspects have been named.
