ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — A power outage in Albany on Monday, Jan. 19 impacted approximately 1,023 total Albany Utility customers. The outage lasted from about 3:30 to 4:40 p.m.
The outage affected a portion of Stuart Avenue and many surrounding side streets.

The above screenshot was taken from the Albany, Georgia outage map at about 3:56 p.m. Since then, the number of customers impacted reportedly shifted from 640 to 1,023 to 993 and ended at 4:40 p.m.

WALB’s 4 p.m. newscast was canceled for Monday as a result of this outage. The station, located at 1709 Stuart Avenue, lost power at about 3:28 p.m.
WALB regained power at the station at about 3:58 p.m. thanks to a generator.
