VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) - The city of Valdosta Public Works and Lowndes County are collaborating on a scrap tire recycling event.
The event will last from Monday, Sept. 8, through Friday, Sept. 19, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. every weekday.
Only car and small truck tires without rims will be accepted. The event is only open to city and county residents, not businesses.
Organizers say there will be a limit of 200 tires accepted.
There is no cost to scrap your tires.
The drop-off location is the Lowndes County Public Works, located at 550 Gil Harbin Industrial Blvd.
