Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Small businesses across South Georgia are offering sales to celebrate Small Business Saturday, with local entrepreneurs emphasizing the importance of community support.
Knight’s Apparel and Gifts is among the businesses participating with a storewide 20% off sale. John Williams, one of the owners of Knights, said supporting local businesses connects to the country’s founding principles.
“That’s what this country was built on. I mean you buy something for a nickel and sell it for a dime if you’re lucky, but you provide a service you provide goods people need and want,” Williams said. “There weren’t big box stores 100... 200 years ago, it was just all about pulling together trying to provide services and items that people need.”
The sale at Knight’s will continue through the weekend, giving the business a chance to show appreciation for customers.
