Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) -
TONIGHT/SUNDAY- One more night of freezing temperatures tonight, where lows drop to near 30 degrees. Winds will subside tonight, so wind chills should not be impactful. Have the winter coats on hand for Sunday morning, then you can put them up for the upcoming week.
Highs reach into the 60s again on Sunday, and it is only up from there heading into the work week. There is an elevated fire risk on Sunday due to extremely low relative humidity along with the ongoing drought, so be careful burning.
WORK WEEK- A chilly morning in the low 40s Monday rebound to near 70 in the afternoon. Get used to the 70s and the above freezing nights, in the 40s and 50s, because that is all we will have through the work week. We top out into the mid-upper 70s Wednesday.
Fog looks likely most mornings during the work week. Monday could see isolated, light fog, but we will see more Tuesday all the way through into the weekend. Be careful driving in fog, keep the high beams off and slow down!
We look dry to begin the first half of the week, but rain chances do perk up Wednesday afternoon and stay up through the week into the weekend. The chances are for isolated showers (20-40%), so as of now we do not have any meaningful rainfall in the forecast to help alleviate drought conditions. Severe Weather is not expected this upcoming week.
