Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A cold front moves through this evening and will bring a few strong to severe storms ahead of the front. A Marginal Risk ( 1 out of 5) is currently placed over South Georgia ahead of this line. Storms will be capable of producing damaging winds and hail. Storm coverage will be widely scattered. Storms will move out before 5 AM on Sunday.
After the early morning rainfall, drier conditions take over across the region. Highs will reside in the mid to upper 70s and low 80s, and sunshine will dominate the land as skies clear throughout the morning. Lows into the night will fall into the seasonable mid to upper 50s.
Next week will start dry as high pressure rests over the area. Temperatures will remain mild on Monday in the low to mid 80s, but rebound into the upper 80s as the high slides eastward and another storm system develops to our west. This will bring in higher chances of rainfall heading into the next weekend.
