ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - One of the two suspects in the armed robbery at The Pitt-Stop has been arrested and charged.

The Dougherty County Police Department (DCPD) told WALB that Willie Lamont Jones, 45, was arrested on Friday, Dec. 5, at his home following a search warrant executed by the the police department. DCPD was assisted by the Albany Dougherty Safe Streets Initiative Unit in the execution of the search warrant.

DCPD said Jones was charged with:

• Armed robbery - firearm
• Armed robbery - other weapon
• Aggravated assault - firearm
• Aggravated assault - other

WALB previously reported that two suspects were involved in the robbery. DCPD said both suspects were masked.
