Description
LEE COUNTY, Ga. — The Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) is asking the public to help identify a driver who fled from a deputy during a late-night chase Sunday, March 15.
Around 11:39 p.m., a deputy reportedly tried to stop a gray Infiniti G-37 on Mayfield Drive after the vehicle was seen speeding through a neighborhood and weaving around parked cars near people in the road.
The driver fled on foot, damaging fences
Investigators said the driver did not stop. The vehicle turned onto Laurelwood Circle, where they got out and fled on foot, jumping fences and damaging two of them, according to LCSO. Investigators said the damage totaled approximately $2,500.
The suspect is described by law enforcement officials as a light-skinned Black male who was wearing a Waffle House T-shirt. He is known only by the nickname “Flip,” LCSO said.
Facing charges
If the suspect is identified, the sheriff’s office said they will face the following charges:
- Fleeing and attempting to elude
- Reckless driving
- Failure to stop at a stop sign
- Criminal trespass (multiple counts)
- Obstruction of law enforcement
- Open container

Anyone with information on the suspect’s identity or whereabouts is asked to contact the Lee County Sheriff’s Office at 229-759-6012.
