SEMINOLE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - The Georgia State Patrol (GSP) confirmed that a Seminole County traffic accident on Monday, March 16, involved a pedestrian.

GSP said that a driver on Highway 84, in the area of Three Notch Road in Iron City, backed up over a pedestrian. The pedestrian died at the scene, according to preliminary investigation information.

GSP said troopers responded to the scene at about 10:43 a.m. Officials reportedly closed the eastbound lane of Hwy 84 for the on-scene investigation.

The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office warned drivers at about 10:56 a.m. that Hwy 84 was closed due to a traffic accident.
