(Gray News) - Taylor Farms is recalling products containing jalapenos sold at several stores, including Kroger and Trader Joe’s, in 26 states because they may be contaminated with salmonella.

What stores and states are affected by the Taylor Farms recall?

The recalled products include salsa, dips and prepared foods sold at Kroger, Target, Trader Joe’s, Walmart, Whole Foods, Hannaford and Stop and Shop locations in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Wisconsin and West Virginia.

The recalled products have a “Best If Used By” date up to and including Aug. 16, 2026.

Taylor Farms is already facing heightened scrutiny over an outbreak of cyclosporiasis, which causes severe diarrhea. The company recalled iceberg lettuce last month because of the outbreak, which is among the largest in recent U.S. history, and health officials are still investigating sources of the illness.
