The GBI said that their Office of Professional Standards conducted an investigation into the accusation, which found that no items were taken from the search location besides those directly related to the search warrant. The GBI said they found no evidence that supported the allegations against the agent.

The GBI added that the agent involved acted with full legal authority. They said the agent is a “dedicated professional with a strong record of service, integrity a,d ethical conduct.”

The criminal investigation related to this case is still active, the GBI said.
