THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WALB) — Aiden McPherson rushed for six touchdowns and totaled 371 yards in Thomas County Central’s region win over Lee County. The senior quarterback has been named Georgia High School Football Daily Player of the Week.

McPherson credits teammates

McPherson said the award reflects his teammates’ contributions.

“Man, I’m just so thankful and so blessed to be in this position for everybody to be here, especially my little sister. So, it was really cool. I thank the guys, my teammates, the O-line, the receivers, the defense. I thank them every day and just tell them how much I appreciate them,” McPherson said.

Looking ahead

McPherson said his next goal is to win out in region play and win another region title.
