THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WALB) — Thomasville Fire Rescue has immediately suspended all burn permits inside city limits due to ongoing drought and dry conditions.
The suspension prohibits residential outdoor burning of landscape debris, including branches, yard waste and leaf piles.
Suspension remains in effect until conditions improve
The ban will remain in place until conditions improve, according to Thomasville Fire Rescue.
Residents with questions about burn permits are asked to contact Thomasville Fire Rescue at (229) 227-4099.
