TIFTON, Ga. (WALB) - Harley-Davidson of Tifton hosted a benefit motorcycle ride to show support for Tifton detectives Michael Gaskins and Jerry Fulford on Saturday, March 28.
Gaskins and Fulford were shot in the line of duty in December 2025 while serving a search warrant. The ride traveled through Tifton before ending back at Harley-Davidson.
Multiple law enforcement agencies showed support, including Tifton Police, the Tift County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia State Patrol.
Chief Steve Hyman said the community support means a lot.
“It means a lot. Mike and Jerry both have been through a lot since that day that they were shot. And ever since it’s happened we’ve had full community support. And it means a lot. When you look around out here and see everybody that showed up to support them,” Hyman said.
The event also included live music, food trucks and raffle tickets. Proceeds go to help Gaskins and Fulford’s families.
