IRWIN COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) – Agents with the South Central Drug Task Force conducted a traffic stop near the Pleasure Lake Community along Highway 319 in Irwin County.

During the stop, agents noticed suspicious behavior from the driver and questioned whether there were any illegal substances in the vehicle.

Following a brief investigation, agents discovered a personal-use amount of powder cocaine inside the car. The driver was taken into custody without incident.

The South Central Drug Task Force says it continues its commitment to combating illegal narcotics and maintaining a strong presence in areas known for drug activity.
