COFFEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - A man accused of crimes across several South Georgia counties was arrested Sunday, Dec. 7 in Mitchell County, according to the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO).

Lamarcus Antoine Duson, 50, allegedly stole a Chevy Silverado near Estlee Mercer Road in Coffee County. CCSO said Duson then traveled toward Albany and was involved in an armed robbery there.

The sheriff’s office said Duson was found inside of a Mitchell County residence that he entered unlawfully.

CCSO said Duson faces several charges including aggravated assault, armed robbery and motor vehicle theft. He was taken into custody, CCSO said.

The sheriff’s office said that this is an active investigation, and additional charges may follow.
